St. Vincent Ferrer
St. Vincent Ferrer was a Catalan Dominican preacher, of Valencia; itinerant penitential preacher whose sermons throughout western Europe drew enormous crowds and many conversions, especially among Iberian Jews and Muslims.
Confessor of antipope Benedict XIII at Avignon, eventually withdrawing his support to help end the Western Schism (Council of Constance, 1414). Canonized 1455 by Callixtus III.
