Product Details
This rosary is a tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe, who appeared to St. Juan Diego on Tepeyac hill in 1531 and remains the great patroness of the Americas.
In December of 1531, Our Lady appeared to a recently converted indigenous Mexican named Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac, outside Mexico City. She asked that a church be built on the site and gave him roses to carry to the bishop in his tilma. When Juan Diego unfolded the cloak before the bishop, the roses fell out and the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was found imprinted upon it — an image that still hangs in the basilica today and remains, almost five centuries later, scientifically inexplicable. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the Americas and a sign of God's tenderness toward every people he has called his own.
