Founders (collective)
Florentine merchants (13th century, d. various dates), seven prominent layfolk of the Confraternity of the Laudesi who in 1233 retired together to Monte Senario near Florence and founded the Order of the Servants of Mary (Servites) under the inspiration of Our Lady of Sorrows. Canonized as a group 1888 by Leo XIII (the only group canonization of multiple founders).
