Description

Stella Maris, which is Latin for Our Lady Star of the Sea, is an ancient Marian devotion. It not only holds signifigance for seafarers and ocean lovers, but it also refers to Mary's role as a "guiding star" on the way to her Son, Jesus.
We modeled the design of the medal from one of the earliest known medals for this devotion while also enhancing the detail. The medal's words and images stand out because it's made of a durable, long-lasting zinc alloy with a bronze finish that will not fade or tarnish.
