Description
As one of our signature holiday greeting cards, it features The Nativity by artist Lorenzo Monaco (1370-1425), which he painted around the year 1406. A leading painter in Florence, Italy, Lorenzo Monaco specialized in painting frescoes and illuminated manuscripts. Monaco's style was rich with luminous colors, as is evident here in this exquisite depiction of the Nativity.
The back of this Christmas card features the Bible passages of Luke 2:1 to 2:14, the story of the Nativity which culminates with the angel of the Lord announcing that "a savior has been born for you." The inside of the card has been left blank, leaving you more room to write your own sentiments to each recipient.
